Welcome to the 12th Crockenhill Harvest Fayre organized by The Harvest Fayre Committee. Thank you for attending last year’s fayre which was opened by Rachel Kite and Rachel Waterton. Thank you ladies for a wonderful speech. A great success as always raising funds for Lollipop and Little Buds at DVH, raising £150.00 for each charity. This years charity is BEAMS, a local group supporting disabled children and their families based in Hextable.
CRAFT AND PRODUCE SHOW HOW TO ENTER:
ENTRIES, the same applies to previous years, fill in your name, address etc, and circle the chosen entries. ENTRY FORMS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE VILLAGE STORE, THE PARISH COUNCIL OFFICE, THE CHEQUERS PUB, OR DOWNLOAD FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL WEBSITE OR CROCKENHILL HARVEST FAYRE FACEBOOK PAGE. It is 50p per item but the total charge is £2.50, so it pays to enter as many items as you can. Take them AND THE COMPLETED ENTRY FORM to the village hall, pay and collect your special entry number. So come on, give it a go, even if you haven’t entered before, it’s the taking part not the winning. At the end of the show donated entries are auctioned for charity.
As usual we have a 1st prize raffle of £100.00 CASH, plus many more prizes. Tickets are £1 a strip, Maureen Stanton will be selling them again. You can buy tickets in advance.
PLEASE COMPLETE THE ENTRY FORM BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE VILLAGE HALL, THIS SAVES TIME ON THE DAY. THANK YOU……
A big thank you to The Harvest Fayre Committee for organising today’s event. A lot of work goes into making today happen and it’s so wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves by having a burger, a pint while listening to the band. Let’s hope the weather stays dry and sunny, it makes such a big difference. Growers survived the heat wave last year and still managed to enter produce.
Money raised from today’s event will go to 1st Crockenhill Scout Group, The Harvest Fayre Fund, Beams and Second Chance Animal Rescue, who are always looking for volunteers. If you have a special charity please let us know. Enjoy your day and please don’t forget “PLEASE KEEP THE GREEN TIDY” you will find bins across the green or please ask for a black sack.
PLEASE NOTE : TEA, COFFEE AND CAKES WILL BE AVAILABLE INSIDE THE VILLAGE HALL, SUPPLIED BY SECOND CHANGE ANIMAL RESCUE, PLEASE GO TO THE KITCHEN’S BACK DOOR TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE VILLAGE HALL WHILST JUDGING IS TAKING PLACE. THANK YOU
