CROCKENHILL VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (CVHMC)
INTRODUCTION: CVHMC has a fundraising committee that meets twice a year minimum, to plan community fundraising events to help subsidise hire costs and maintain the hall so the Trustees can cover ongoing maintenance costs and ensure that hall remains fit for purpose.
GENERAL POLICY: The CVHMC fundraising committee is made up of a dedicated group of volunteer fundraisers.
The annual programme of events currently includes 4 quiz nights, 4 bingo nights and a Christmas dance. These fun evenings, together with some new initiatives outlined under the budget section, subsidise the ongoing annual running costs of the hall.
In addition, a minimum of 4 one off events is planned each year to raise money to pay for essential hall upgrades to ensure that our hall is an attractive and safe venue to hire. The wish list and our achievements are listed on our website.
BUDGET: The CVHMC Charity has to raise approximately £40K a year to meet its annual outgoings.
The hall availability is freely available on downloading the Village Hall Calendar and hire costs are displayed on the website and advertised on Social Media.
CVHMC has recently signed agreements with INPOST , ASTRA clothing recycling and Toy Express, receiving much needed revenue whilst providing local delivery and recycling facilities.
An Easyfundraising App has been circulated to all the fundraising Facebook members to engage them in fundraising when placing online orders.
A fresh crowd funding appeal is to be advertised to fund one off costs like refurbing the outdoor storage facility.
MANAGING THE BUDGET: The CVHMC meet monthly (excluding August and December) to ensure that sufficient funds are being raised to cover costs.
Annual hire charges are reviewed annually in January to ensure that revenue meets expenditure.
